What's New in V3.1

Upgrade Considerations

If you are upgrading from QSDA V3:

oIf you are a QSDA Enterprise customer who has installed the QSDA Login Extension, please re-install the extension after upgrade. You may enable the button by unchecking and rechecking the "For Login" option.

If you are upgrading from QSDA V2, please note the following:

oMake a backup copy of your QSDA data folder at C:\ProgramData\EasyQlik\QSDA. If you decide to downgrade from QSDA V3 to V2, you must restore this folder for V2. QSDA Pro V3 makes incompatible changes to the data files.

oQSDA now uses .Net8 Runtime libraries. See System Requirements.

oEnterprise license customers will need to complete the steps in Configuring Enterprise Security to enable access to Analyze pages.

oAfter upgrading to V3, you may delete the qsdalogin-v2.0.html file uploaded to the Qlik Server content library, if you completed the Qlik Login Connection setup step in V2.

If you are upgrading from QSDA V1, it is recommended that you first upgrade to QSDA V2 and then to V3.

New and Changed Features

Qliik Roles and Custom Properties may now be used as Authorization in QSDA Enterprise security, in both QSDA Access and Connection Use.

New script generators to generate recommended AutoNumber and Drop Tables statements.

Table, Field, Memory and Calctime totals added to App Collector list.

Qlik Reload metadata in App overview.

A warning dialog will be displayed if you attempt to leave a page with unsaved changes.

In order to align with Qlik console and management reports, the formula for calculating App Size has been aligned with the Qlik method. In addition, values are now reported using binary units (1 KiB = 1024 bytes), again to align with the numbers reported by Qlik.

Many Performance improvements in the QSDA UI.

Older VizLib charts may have a number of formatting expressions containing only "".  Technically these are syntactically invalid expressions and are flagged with "Expression Syntax Error" by QSDA. These expressions appear to create no harm in the App, so we are considering the flag to be noise and are no longer flagging these as errors.

Add "Is Used" to fields list in Table expansion.

Admin > Error Log is now a tabbed view of both API and UI error logs.

Fixes

Fix hang in Qlik Login for some customers when using a Virtual Proxy.

Fixed logging error "The SSL connection could not be established" at QSDA startup.
